Mercantile Bank PLC today intensified its ongoing nationwide digital payment campaign by hosting an awareness rally in the capital’s Motijheel commercial area to fast-track the adoption of Bangla QR transactions. Mati Ul Hasan, Managing Director of the bank, led today's field deployment as the Chief Guest.

Bank's Deputy Managing Directors, a large contingent of senior executives and officials participated in the rally. The event marks the latest phase of the bank's active countrywide initiative to transition traditional retail merchant points into secure, cashless digital hubs.

Immediately following the rally, Bank officials conducted direct outreach to local merchants to aware them on the benefits and implementation of Bangla QR.To mark the day's successful onboarding drive, bank’s Managing Director Mati Ul Hasan executed a live retail transaction using a Bangla QR code at a local sweet shop.

The bank's nationwide digital enablement drive continues to deploy resources across all outlets to maximize merchant acquisition and consumer onboarding.
